Masterson’s Lounge, situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my most recent experience at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. The bathroom was in even a more revolting state — clogged , with a shattered handle and walls stained in what I can only assume was feces.

Going through other patrons’ reviews and conversing with residents , it seems that the level of hygiene (or lack thereof) at this bar is a recurring complaint. Many check patrons have reported observing cockroaches darting across the serving surface and traces of mice in the bar and house area .
